Lapkričio 13-ą dieną Lietuva planuoja susitikti su izraeliu draugiškoms futbolo varžyboms Kauno Dariaus ir Girėno stadione. Šios kontrolinės rungtynės bus vykdomos Palestinos genocido fone, kurio metu nesuskaičiuojamas kiekis palestiniečių sportininkų buvo nužudyti izraelio vyriausybės. Kol izraelio futbolininkai išskėstomis rankomis kviečiami į Lietuvos stadionus, palestiniečių atletai yra žudomi okupacinio režimo – kontrastas tarp šių dviejų realybių negalėtų būti aiškesnis.

Palestinos informacijos centro duomenimis „672 palestiniečių sportininkai buvo nužudyti izraelio okupacinių pajėgų (IOF), ką palestiniečių tarnyba įvardija kaip sistemines atakas, nutaikytas prieš žmones ir infrastruktūrą“. Vis dėlto žinant izraelio vyriausybės bandymus slopinti informacijos sklaidą pasitelkiant išpuolius prieš žurnalistus, įrašančius ir publikuojančius šaltakraujiškus nusikaltimus Palestinoje, žinant, kad didelė dalis nužudytųjų kūnų palaidoti po griuvėsiais, o sveikatos priežiūros sistema Gazoje sugriauta izraelio, realus mirusiųjų skaičius galėtų būti daug didesnis.

Mes smerkiame tylų stebėjimą draugystės gesto šaliai, kuri yra atsakinga už tokio masto žiaurumus. Raginame visiškai boikotuoti izraelio sporto komandas ir neleisti joms pasirodyti jokiose platformose, kol nebus sustabdytas palestiniečių genocidas ir okupacija bei užtikrintas teisingumas genocido aukoms. Mes pasisakome prieš dehumanizuojančius engėjų veiksmus. Mes pasisakome už teisingumą, todėl esame su Palestina!

On the 13th of November Lithuania is planning to hold a friendly football match with Israel in Kaunas, the Darius and Girėnas Stadium. This non-competitive game is happening in the context of a Genocide in Palestine, during which a countless number of Palestinian athletes have lost their lives by the hands of the Israeli government. While Israeli football players being freely invited for a friendly competition by Lithuania, Palestinian athletes are losing their lives - the contrast could not be more clear. 

The Palestinian Information Centre shares “672 martyred [athletes] by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in what Palestinian officials call a systematic assault targeting both people and infrastructure”. However, knowing the Israeli government's attempts of suppressing the flow of information, and attacking journalists, who are trying to document their horrific crimes against Palestine, we could find that the numbers are far greater. 

We despise having to silently watch the gesture of friendship with a country that is involved in atrocities of this scale. We call a complete boycott of Israeli sports teams from performing in any platforms, until there has been an end to the Genocide of Palestinians. We stand against the dehumanising actions of oppressors. We stand for justice, therefore we stand with Palestine!
